Gynecomastia is feminisation of male chest. It is commonly referred to as “Man Boobs”.
There is only one treatment option for gynecomastia and that is surgery. Mild gynecomastia has only gland enlargement and fat deposit and so surgery involves removing (excision) of the gland and liposuction. Moderat gynecomastia has in addition some skin laxity. The surgery involves tightening the skin by removing a doughnut pattern of skin around the nipple, in combination with gland removal and liposuction.
In severe gynecomastia the skin is so loose that it hangs as a fold and this requires Chest Lift surgery.
Please consult your plastic surgery before embarking on any treatment for Gynecomastia.
